God isn’t in the business of resolving trials.

You want a resolution. But Jesus wants a relationship.

So often in life, we want an answer to the desires of our heart.

Will I get married? Should I leave my job? Will my kid come back to the faith? Am I going to survive the Cancer? And so on.

We obsess over the question. We beg God for a resolution. And we get so upset when he seems to be ignoring our very real plight in life.

But what if God wasn't in the business of resolving things on earth? What if he was simply in the business of relationship. And that question of yours, unanswered and unresolved, what if it is meant to be with you for the sake of the relationship? What if it was the lynchpin to intimacy with God?

What if Jesus didn't perform so many miracles because he is a God of resolution but because it was necessary for a relationship to emerge?

From what I can tell, we'd all walk through life with a bit more peace if we spent less energy seeking a resolution and more energy on leveraging the question for a deeper relationship with God.

For those of you with a question or a need that seems to be consuming your whole life right now...

Try and shift your focus from resolution to relationship. It may just be the answer you were looking for all along.
